On the drive from the airport to The Strip, most people are dazzled by the lights and dreaming about winning big, but I was distracted by bad punctuation. This sign, posted at the front of our shuttle, was riddled with errors:
We've got periods outside of quotation marks and parentheses, random ellipses, and, of course, unnecessary quotation marks. What kind of "tips" is the driver looking for exactly? It is Vegas after all. But I think the funniest part of the sign is the clip-art sun with the dollar signs in his eyes. I might have to make that my new avatar.

Alright, so I made a major error and posted a comment with a typo on a site that might be a little sensitive to such things. ;)
Apparently, when you delete your own comment, it doesn't go away completely.
Anyway, what I wanted to say was...
Wouldn't another error be that it should read: They're a major part of his income ("tips" being plural)?
Or, do you forgive bad grammar since your blog is really focused on punctuation mistakes?
Ooh, good point! I guess I was thinking of "tips" collectively as in "money." Thanks for bringing that additional error to my attention.
